Special Event Public Safety Plan
The objective of this document is to provide a framework for event managers to promote a safe environment for attendees. This template, as well as any necessary supporting documents, can be used to meet Fire Code requirements for submitting a Public Safety Plan that will be reviewed by the City of McKinney Special Event Working Group.

All supporting documents may be attached to this plan as needed upon submission. Take note that not all sections may be applicable to all events.

Inclement Weather/Environmental Hazards
Detail the criteria in which inclement weather or any other environmental factors would impede or otherwise cancel your event.
Event Cancellation Criteria
Detail preparations for your staff in the event of inclement weather incidents, designated shelter areas on your site map, certain thresholds (e.g. tolerable structure wind speed, heat index maximums/minimums, lightning within certain mileage) and shelter area specifications.
Action Plan
Describe the procedures for reuniting lost children/vulnerable persons with guardians, care persons and parents.

Designate who will have radios and what channels will be allocated.
